I am sure that most of us do. This is a campaign started in the UK by the lobbying group, The National Campaign for the Arts. It is obviously prompted by the draconian cuts in the UK's public spending which, coincidently includes the arts.
Anyway, although I do not usually jump on the back of 'causes', this one I think has some worth. Not necessarily from the perspective of objecting to cuts in the public spending on the arts but more from the perspective of raising awareness of the value of the arts in society in general. I think that many arts institutions in the UK have relied too long and for too much on the public purse without necessarily delivering value. Maybe now, there will be a change in attitude and mindset that realises that sometimes, 'less is more'.
